The Capilano Sway Bourbon Cocktail

Ah, the Capilano Suspension Bridge! That swaying sensation high above the forest canopy... Let's capture that feeling in a bourbon cocktail.

I present to you:

The Capilano Sway

This cocktail aims for a balance of smoky bourbon, the fresh, slightly tart notes of cranberry and lime (evoking the surrounding forest), and a hint of maple syrup for a touch of Canadian sweetness. The rosemary garnish adds an aromatic element, reminiscent of the evergreens.

Ingredients:

* 2 oz Bourbon (something with a bit of spice works well)

* ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice

* ½ oz Cranberry Juice (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)

* ¼ oz Pure Maple Syrup

* 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

* Rosemary sprig, for garnish

Instructions:

* Combine the bourbon, lime juice, cranberry juice, maple syrup, and Angostura bitters in a shaker with ice.

* Shake well until thoroughly chilled.

* Double strain into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass.

* Gently slap the rosemary sprig between your palms to release its aroma and use it as a garnish.

Why "The Capilano Sway"?

Named after the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, BC.

The "Sway" directly references the unique feeling of being suspended high above the ground.

I hope you enjoy this taste of the Pacific Northwest! Let me know what you think if you give it a try.
